Aliasify

Labels & custom prefixes

Make your aliases recognisable with custom prefixes and labels

This guide covers two related features. Labels are private friendly names attached to any alias (available on every plan). Custom prefixes let you choose the local part of the alias address itself (Pro and Business).

Vocabulary recap

  • Alias — the email address (e.g. xxx@junkmail.site).
  • Address — the alias email string itself (the part before @ plus the domain).
  • Label — a private friendly name you attach to an alias (e.g. "Shopping"). Visible only to you.
  • Prefix — the part of the address before @ (e.g. newsletter in newsletter@junkmail.site).

Labels (every plan)

A label helps you remember what an alias is for. It's never sent to anyone — only you see it in your dashboard, mobile app and extension.

  1. Create or open an alias
  2. In the Label field, type something memorable: "Shopping", "Newsletter", "Job hunt"…
  3. Save

You can change or remove the label at any time. The alias keeps the same email address.

Custom prefixes (Pro / Business)

Instead of a random prefix like xyz789@junkmail.site, you can pick your own: newsletter@junkmail.site.

  1. Click Create alias
  2. In the Prefix field, type your desired prefix
  3. Check its availability
  4. Click Create

Prefix rules

  • 3 to 30 characters
  • Lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only
  • Cannot start or end with a hyphen
  • Must be unique within the chosen domain

Valid examples

  • Project signups: project-x@junkmail.site with label "Project X"
